Job Description
Role: Transmission Capacity Management Engineer (Executive)Location: Chennai
Working hours: Normalweekday working in GMT timing in that specified location
Role purpose:
Transmission Engineer responsible for providing planning, optimization, validation, Inventory updates (Circuit Writing) , capacity management solutions related to legacy and latest transmission technology.
Key Responsibilities:
- Excellent knowledge on Network Provisioning in SDH/SONET/DWDM/OTN Transport Network
- Should have previous experience in NOC/Provisioning & Testing experience
- Coordination with Other Licensed Operators for Planned Outages / Migrations
- Basic knowledge on IP data network
- Experience in NMS/EMS applications
- Experience in Database applications like Remedy, Clarity & Crammer etc
- High & Low level Design and Planning experience in SDH, DWDM & OTN systems
- Good communication skills both written and oral, able to communicate technical concepts to all levels
- Coordination with Transmission Integration, Core capacity Planning and Field Support teams for the delivery of SDH/SONET/DWDM/OTN Core bandwidths
- Expertise in SDH, DWDM, OTN & Basic knowledge on various vendor NMS/EMS systems
- Ability to devise solutions for various projects like Site, Ring, Legacy equipment optimization and migrations
- Good knowledge on various Telecommunication equipments
- Knowledge in various products offered by service provider
Must have technical / professional qualifications:
- Minimum of 2-4 years relevant experience in Telecommunications Engineering with good discipline, winning attitude and keep on trying to achieve a team goal mentality
- Graduation in Telecommunications/ Electronics
- Proficient in MS Office Suite with good skills in PowerPoint and Excel
- Good communication and Interpersonal skill
- Basic knowledge on IP networks
