Job Summary:

The Computer Operator cum Office Assistant is responsible for performing general office tasks while also managing computer systems and data entry. This role ensures smooth operation of daily administrative processes, as well as the efficient functioning of the organizations computer systems, software, and databases.

Key Responsibilities:

Computer Operations:

  • Operate and monitor computers, servers, and associated equipment to ensure continuous workflow and processing.
  • Perform regular data entry, update records, and maintain databases as required.
  • Troubleshoot minor technical issues and liaise with IT support for more complex problems.
  • Prepare and generate reports using various computer applications (e.g., Excel, Word, and other office software).
  • Maintain proper backups and ensure data integrity for computer systems.

Administrative Assistance:

  • Answer and direct phone calls, emails, and correspondence, maintaining a professional demeanor.
  • Schedule meetings, appointments, and conferences, coordinating resources and materials.
  • Handle office documentation, including filing, scanning, photocopying, and maintaining records.
  • Assist in managing office supplies, ensuring timely procurement and inventory management.
  • Support in preparing presentations, memos, and other office-related materials.

Clerical Tasks:

  • Assist in organizing and coordinating office activities.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date logs of activities, transactions, and communications.
  • Assist with mail and courier services, distributing incoming and outgoing correspondence.
  • Perform data entry tasks with high attention to detail and accuracy.

Customer Service:

  • Provide support to clients, customers, and visitors, offering assistance as needed.
  • Assist in resolving any issues related to office systems or procedures.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in computer software applications (e.g., MS Office Suite Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Basic knowledge of computer hardware and troubleshooting.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
