Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Accounts and Finance Manager to join our group of companies, which includes a fintech and NBFC (Non-Banking Financial Company), based in Mumbai. The role requires expertise in finance controlling, accounting, and compliance for the NBFC, in accordance with the regulations set forth by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI).

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial management, accounting principles, and regulatory compliance. The Accounts and Finance Manager will be responsible for overseeing the financial operations, ensuring accurate accounting practices, and managing compliance requirements for the NBFC.

Responsibilities: Financial Controlling: Develop and implement financial controls, policies, and procedures to ensure effective financial management. Monitor and analyze financial performance, budget variances, and key financial indicators. Prepare financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, cash flow statements, and other financial analyses.

Conduct financial forecasting, budgeting, and planning activities to support business decision-making.

Accounting: Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger maintenance, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations. Ensure timely and accurate recording of financial transactions in accordance with accounting principles and standards.

Review and analyze financial data, perform variance analysis, and provide recommendations to improve financial performance. Prepare and submit statutory financial statements and reports, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

NBFC Accounting and Compliance: Ensure compliance with RBI guidelines and regulations specific to the NBFC sector. Oversee the preparation and submission of periodic regulatory reports to the RBI. Monitor and ensure compliance with NBFC-related accounting standards, disclosure requirements, and financial reporting guidelines.

Maintain knowledge of RBI regulations and guidelines, implementing necessary changes in financial practices and systems.

Audits and Internal Controls: Coordinate internal and external audits, including the preparation of audit schedules and responses to audit queries. Implement and maintain effective internal control systems to safeguard company assets and ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data.

Monitor compliance with audit recommendations and take corrective actions as necessary. Team Management: Supervise and mentor the finance and accounting team, providing guidance, training, and support. Conduct performance evaluations, set performance goals, and foster a culture of continuous improvement.

Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A professional accounting qualification CA is strongly preferred. Minimum of 4 years of experience in finance, accounting, and compliance roles, preferably within the NBFC or financial services sector.
Sound knowledge of accounting principles, financial management, and financial reporting standards. Familiarity with RBI guidelines and regulations specific to the NBFC sector. Proven experience in financial controlling, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
Strong understanding of internal controls, audit processes, and compliance requirements. Proficient in using accounting software and financial management tools. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and provide strategic recommendations.

Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy and strong organizational skills. Effective communication and leadership skills to interact with stakeholders at all levels. Ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities effectively.
