Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated Product Manager to lead the development and integration of Accounts Receivable (AR) automation capabilities into Paymode, our cutting-edge business payments network. In this role, you will work closely with engineering, UX/UI Design, sales, and customer success teams to build innovative solutions that streamline receivables processes, improve cash flow management, and enhance the overall payments experience for vendors in the Paymode network.
Working with your Product Management colleagues, you will be responsible for the product planning and execution throughout the product lifecycle, including: gathering and prioritizing product and customer requirements, defining the product vision and roadmap, communicating roadmap, and managing client expectations.You will be the primary Product Manager for a dedicated scrum team to deliver innovative features to our vendor population. For features that are deemed 'good for product', you will assist in preparation of the Go to Market materials for our marketing team, and assist with training our sales and support teams to ensure revenue and customer satisfaction goals are met.
Key Responsibilities:
- Product Strategy & Vision: Define and execute a strategic roadmap for integrating AR automation capabilities into Paymode, aligning with customer needs and business objectives.
- Feature Development: Lead the end-to-end product development lifecycle, from discovery to launch, ensuring seamless integration of invoicing, payment reconciliation, and cash application functionalities.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work cross-functionally with engineering, UX/UI, operations, sales, and marketing teams to deliver high-impact solutions that drive adoption and customer satisfaction.
- Market & Customer Insights: Conduct market research, analyze competitive solutions, and gather customer feedback to prioritize features and enhancements.
- Technology & Integration: Partner with technical teams to develop scalable APIs, AI-driven automation tools, and ERP/payment processor integrations that optimize AR workflows.
- Metrics & Performance Tracking: Establish key success metrics, track adoption, and continuously improve products based on data-driven insights.
- Compliance & Security: Ensure solutions meet industry standards, regulatory requirements, and best practices for secure and compliant payment processing.
Required Skills:
- Experience: 5+ years of product management experience, preferably in B2B payments, fintech, or AR automation.
- Domain Expertise: Strong understanding of accounts receivable processes, payment networks, and financial technology.
- Technical Acumen: Familiarity with APIs, ERP integrations, AI/ML in automation, and cloud-based financial platforms.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to synthesize complex business requirements into scalable product solutions.
- Collaboration & Communication: Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
- Agile Methodology: Hands-on experience with Agile development, user stories, and iterative product releases.
Preferred Skills:
- Demonstrated ability to meet or beat assigned targets and deadlines consistently
- Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority
- Ability to demonstrate product in front of large customer forums or at sales engagement
- Experience with Agile development
- Knowledge of JIRA, Aha!, and Microsoft Office
- Testing and validation experience is desired
- Pragmatic marketing certified
- Previous implementation experience
- UX design experience
Education and Experience:
- Bachelors degree in finance, business, or technology related field
