A Day in the Life
Diabetes Minimed India - The Sr. IT Technologist Performance Test Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the performance, scalability, and reliability of our SAP and Non-SAP applications. This position will work closely with the development team, business analysts, and other stakeholders to identify performance bottlenecks and ensure that all applications meet the highest standards of quality and efficiency.
Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:
- Maintain a productive relationship with Stakeholders, Process Owners, Technical and Functional Peers through effective communications and collaboration.
- Attend the daily stand-up meeting with the development and QA teams to discuss the day's priorities and any blockers.Review the performance testing plan for the day, ensuring that all necessary test environments and data are ready.
- Coordinate with the DevOps team to confirm that the testing infrastructure is correctly configured and has the latest builds deployed. Create or update performance test scripts.
- This might involve using tools like JMeter, LoadRunner, or Gatling to simulate user interactions with the application. Execute initial tests to verify that the scripts run as expected and the environment is stable.
- Run full-scale performance tests to simulate various load conditions (e.g., peak load, stress testing, endurance testing). Monitor system performance in real-time, focusing on metrics like response time, throughput, and system resource utilization.
- Analyze the data from the performance tests. Identify any performance bottlenecks or areas where the system fails to meet performance requirements. Collaborate with developers to diagnose the root causes of performance issues.
- Document the results of the performance tests, including key findings, performance metrics, and recommendations for improvement. Prepare a detailed
Required Knowledge and Experience:
- Proven experience in performance testing of Salesforce and SAP applications. Understanding of performance testing concepts, methodologies, and tools.
- Proficiency in performance testing tools such as JMeter, LoadRunner, or similar and experience with application performance monitoring tools like Dynatrace, AppDynamics, or New Relic.
- Solid understanding of Salesforce and SAP architecture, including customization and integration. Defining data load strategy and workload models to support baseline, scalability, and volume tests.
- Experience in end-to-end performance testing, including client-side, server-side, and database performance. Ability to write complex SQL queries for data validation and performance analysis.
- Experience with cloud environments (e.g. AWS, Azure) and their performance characteristics.
- Validates testing for SOX & GXP compliances and FDA regulatory to include Title 21 CFR Part 11, FDA CFR Part 820.
