Your role and responsibilities
In this position, you will play a critical role in overseeing vendor partnerships, ensuring compliance, and maximizing the value of IT assets. You will develop and implement strategies to manage vendor performance, control costs, and streamline asset utilization to support business objectives and drive operational efficiency.If you are a strategic thinker with a passion for IT management, we would like to hear from you.
The work model for the role is Hybrid.
This role is part of the IS Services Globally. In this role, you will:
- Develop and implement strategies for effective IT vendor and asset management to ensure alignment with business goals.
- Oversee vendor relationships, including contract negotiations, performance monitoring, and compliance with SLAs.
- Manage IT asset lifecycle, from procurement to end of life, ensuring cost efficiency and optimal utilization.
- Provide insights and reporting on vendor performance and asset management metrics to drive data-informed decision-making.
- Collaborate with procurement/sourcing, legal, and IT teams to optimize vendor agreements and ensure adherence to corporate policies.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards in vendor and asset management.
- Identify opportunities to reduce costs, improve service quality, and enhance the value of IT assets.
- Drive continuous improvement in vendor management processes and asset tracking systems.
- Establish working relationships based on collaboration, trust, and open communication to encourage co-innovation and service improvement.
- Ensure that the performance of the function is regularly reported and audited.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or other related field, or equivalent work experience
- 10+ years of proven relevant experience in IT Asset and/or Vendor Management, Procurement with a strong track record of managing complex vendor portfolios. 7+ years of experience in a leadership role.
- Deep understanding of IT asset lifecycle management and related financial principles. Familiarity with relevant regulations, compliance standards, and best practices in vendor and asset management
- Strong negotiation and relationship management skills to effectively manage vendors and stakeholders.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to generate actionable insights from financial and operational data.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills to drive cross-functional collaboration.
- Experience with IT service management tools and asset tracking systems is a plus.
- ITIL 4 certification is a plus
