Job Brief:
We are looking for QA Tester on the Aon Reinsurance QA team for the with automation API and manual testing experience. In this role, the QA Tester should have a keen eye for detail, excellent communication, competent in executing test cases, and passionate about quality.Ultimately, the QA Tester will ensure that our products, applications, and systems work correctly.
QA Tester responsibilities include:
- Reviewing and analyzing requirements / user stories / features to ensure full understanding of individual deliverables.
- Identify test requirements from specifications, document detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test cases and test scenarios for functional and regression testing.
- Collaborate with QA colleagues to develop effective strategies and test plans
- Execute test cases (manual or automated) and analyze results to ensure that validated deliverables meet functional and design specifications and requirements.
- Reporting and documenting defects
- Review and maintenance of test cases for regression testing
- Active participation as a member of the Scrum team
- Communicate any obstacles to raise awareness and avoid project impediments and overall project timeline disruption.
- Work closely with software developers and business analysts to resolve issues.
- Collaborate with Product Owner, Business Analysts, and Developers on tasks related to the planning, testing, and coordination of release activities.
- Help troubleshoot issues
- Conduct post-release/ post-implementation testing
Requirements / Qualifications:
- Minimum of 6 years testing experience
- API testing knowledge in Postman
- Test Automation experience in Postman
- Ability to work independently and within a team setting with minimal direction/supervision
- Ability to think strategically, demonstrating critical thought in a complex business environment
- Demonstrate effective professional communication (written and verbal) skills
- Strong understanding of the Standard Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
- Agile Training/Certification and/or Experience
- Reinsurance Experience, preferred
- Workflow / Defect Management Tool experience, Azure DevOps preferred
- SQL Query experience
