We provide innovative, user-friendly tools that help organizations around the world manage and secure their mobile devices effectively.As part of our continued expansion, we are seeking a highly skilled Technical Writer to join our dynamic team and contribute to the creation of high-quality technical documentation.
Position Overview: We are looking for an experienced Technical Writer with a strong background in cybersecurity and IT infrastructure to develop clear, accurate, and comprehensive documentation for our MDM and security solutions. This role involves working closely with product and engineering teams to create user manuals, technical articles, help center content, and instructional videos.The ideal candidate should be adept at translating complex technical concepts into simple, user-friendly materials that meet the needs of both technical and non-technical audiences.
Key Responsibilities:
Documentation Development: Write, edit, and maintain a variety of technical documents, including user manuals, installation guides, API documentation, and release notes, ensuring accuracy and clarity.
Cybersecurity & IT Focused Content: Develop specialized articles, whitepapers, and technical blogs with a focus on cybersecurity and IT infrastructure, positioning Trio as a thought leader in the industry.
Help Center Management: Oversee and update help center content to ensure users can easily navigate and troubleshoot product features and functionalities.
Video Tutorials: Plan, script, and produce instructional videos and multimedia content to provide visual guidance on product usage, focusing on complex technical processes.
Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, software engineers, and UI/UX designers, to ensure all documentation aligns with the latest product developments and industry standards.
Content Optimization: Continuously review and revise existing documentation to ensure that it reflects updates, security enhancements, and evolving customer needs.
Visual Aids: Design and incorporate infographics, diagrams, and other visual aids to help simplify and explain technical concepts.
Required Skills and Experience:
Technical Writing Expertise: Proven experience in technical writing, particularly in the fields of cybersecurity and IT infrastructure, with the ability to convey complex information in a clear, concise manner.
Cybersecurity Knowledge: Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, network security, IT systems, and mobile device management solutions.Writing & Editing Skills: Exceptional writing and editing skills, with a high level of attention to detail and accuracy.
Multimedia Creation: Experience in creating video tutorials and using multimedia tools such as Adobe Captivate or Camtasia to complement written documentation.
Documentation Tools: Proficiency with documentation tools such as Adobe FrameMaker, MadCap Flare, or similar software.Collaboration Tools: Familiarity with Agile project management methodologies and tools like Jira, Confluence, or GitHub.
Content Strategy: Ability to develop a strategic approach to content creation, ensuring alignment with business goals and audience needs.
Preferred Skills:
MDM & Security Expertise: Previous experience with Mobile Device Management (MDM) solutions and familiarity with security best practices in enterprise environments.
DITA & XML: Experience with structured content creation using DITA or XML frameworks is highly desirable.SEO & Content Optimization: Knowledge of search engine optimization (SEO) best practices to improve the visibility of online content.
Education and Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Technical Writing, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
A minimum of 2+ years of professional experience in technical writing, with a focus on IT or cybersecurity documentation.
Certification in cybersecurity or technical writing would be an advantage.
