Infra Tech Support Practitioner
Project Role Description : Provide ongoing technical support and maintenance of production and development systems and software products (both remote and onsite) and for configured services running on various platforms (operating within a defined operating model and processes).
Provide hardware/software support and implement technology at the operating system-level across all server and network areas, and for particular software solutions/vendors/brands. Work includes L1 and L2/ basic and intermediate level troubleshooting.
Must have skills : Microsoft Windows Server Administration
Good to have skills : Linux

Summary
As a windows server administrator, you will be responsible for maintaining the systems and servers of a business' Windows operating system. Includes installing, configuring and supporting Windows based physical and virtual servers and deploying and testing Windows operating systems including virus updates, patches and performance tuning
Primary Skill:
- Strong understanding of Windows OS
- Good understanding of DHCP, DNS and HTTP protocols
- Excellent Troubleshooting skills
- Knowledge on SCOM and WSUS
- Scripting knowledge is mandatory (PowerShell, VBScript)
Secondary Skill:
Knowledge on Active Directory and GPO
Knowledge on Azure OS Administration
Responsibilities:
Day to Day Responsibilities- manage and support tenant administration activities such as native cloud services, active directory services, serverless deployment activities
- perform OS patching, emergency patch management (including virtual machines);?
- define and provision infrastructure like servers
- creating VM templates, deploying new VM instances, configuring virtual hardware resources, and managing VM lifecycles, such as starting, stopping, suspending, or deleting VMs;?
- manage resource allocation to ensure efficient utilisation of compute resources such as CPU, memory, and storage
- conduct support capacity planning to forecast future resource requirements and recommends scaling
- provide, install, and maintain operating systems and other server software products
- provide Microsoft Azure tenant administration and support
- be responsible for creating the required DNS records and enabling access to Microsoft Azure services.
- add and remove custom domains to Microsoft Azure
Additional Information:
The candidate should have a minimum of 7+ years of experience working as Windows Server Administrator.
A 15 year full time education is required.
