Principal Engineer - District Cooling and Heating

**Job Summary:**

You will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and optimizing our district energy systems, ensuring reliability, efficiency, and sustainability in our operations.

• Lead the design and development of district cooling and heating systems, including the selection of equipment, components, and materials.
• Conduct feasibility studies, energy modeling, and system simulations to optimize district energy systems.
• Develop and implement innovative solutions for improving energy efficiency and sustainability in district cooling and heating operations.
• Collaborate with architects, planners, and other engineering disciplines to integrate district energy systems into new and existing projects.
• Oversee project management activities, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation, to ensure timely and cost-effective project completion.
• Conduct technical assessments and feasibility studies for new projects and upgrades to existing systems.
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and regulations to ensure compliance and best practices.
• Mentor and train junior engineers and technical staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development.
• Prepare technical reports, proposals, and presentations for stakeholders, including clients and regulatory agencies.
• Liaise with local authorities, contractors, and stakeholders to coordinate project activities and ensure alignment with community needs.

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred.
• Minimum of [X] years of experience in the design, analysis, and operation of district cooling and heating systems.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license is highly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of thermal energy systems, HVAC design, and energy efficiency principles.
• Proven experience in project management and leading cross-functional teams.
• Proficient in engineering software relevant to district energy system design and simulation (e.g., TRNSYS, EnergyPlus, AutoCAD).
