Program Manager - Space Mission

Astrome Technologies is looking for an experienced Program Manager - Space Mission to lead and oversee our space mission programs from conception to execution. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong project management skills who can coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure the successful delivery of complex satellite and space projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement program roadmaps, timelines, and budgets for space mission projects.
- Manage cross-functional teams, including engineering, operations, and external stakeholders, to achieve program objectives.
- Ensure adherence to project plans, monitor progress, and report key performance indicators to stakeholders.
- Identify and manage program risks, issues, and dependencies, and proactively implement mitigation strategies.
- Facilitate communication between technical teams and executive leadership to ensure alignment on project goals.
- Oversee program documentation and compliance with space industry standards and regulations.
- Lead program review meetings and ensure effective reporting and communication with stakeholders.
- Foster a culture of collaboration and innovation within the project team throughout the mission lifecycle.
- Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Systems Engineering, Project Management, or a related field; Master's degree is preferred.
- 8+ years of experience in program management, with at least 5 years in the space or aerospace industry.
- Strong knowledge of space mission lifecycle processes, including design, development, testing, and operations.
- Proven experience leading complex projects with multiple stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
- Familiarity with satellite systems, orbital mechanics, and related technologies.
- Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills to manage diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Experience with project management tools and methodologies (e.g., PMBOK, Agile) and program management software.
- Ability to analyze complex problems and think critically to drive effective solutions.
- Willingness to travel as needed for program-related activities.
