What will your job look like
All you need is...- Strategic Leadership:
- Develop and execute strategies for fiber network design, deployment, and maintenance.
- Lead cross-functional teams to align with company goals and customer needs.
- Plan and execute large-scale fiber network initiatives.
- Project Management:
- Manage all aspects of fiber network engineering, including design standards, permits and TCP
- Monitor and ensure contractual performance metrics are exceeding the targets
- Team Development:
- Build and lead a high-performing engineering team by recruiting, training, and mentoring staff.
- Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and accountability within the team.
- Customer Experience Improvement:
- Ensuring timely delivery of customer assignments and elevating the quality standards
- Address customer feedback by proactively identifying and resolving issues.
- Stakeholder Engagement:
- Act as a technical resource for senior leadership in decision-making processes.
- Build relationships with internal stakeholders, vendors and other stakeholders.
- Technology Optimization:
- Stay updated on emerging technologies in fiber optics to drive innovation.
- Rationalize tools and processes to optimize efficiency in design, deployment, and maintenance.
- Education:
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field advanced degrees are preferred.
- Experience:
- 15-20 years of experience in fiber network engineering or telecommunications.
- At least 5 years in a leadership role managing large-scale projects or teams.
- Skills:
- Strong knowledge of fiber optic technologies, including design principles, splicing techniques, testing methodologies, and industry standards.
- Expertise in project management tools and methodologies.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Technical Proficiency:
- Familiarity with network design software and tools (e.g., GIS systems).
- Understanding of federal/state regulations related to broadband deployment.
