We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Head of Business Intelligence, WCS

Principal responsibilities
Accountabilities for Business, Customers and Stakeholders- Delivery of service performance reporting using various data & visualisation tools to inform efficient business decisions & service performance management.
- Generate insights on an ongoing basis, based on past performance trends & forecasts across WCS led customer journeys/ value streams.
- Partner with value stream stakeholders to define, design & create consistent performance measures.
- Lead the deployment of analytics and BI solutions which provides an overarching performance monitoring & case management functionality to drive resource allocation, prioritisation & escalation across the value stream.
- Lead/coordinate agendas, inputs and outcomes of service performance governance materials for key value stream stakeholders.
- Report and coordinate resolutions of service performance issues for regions and global, management escalation when appropriate.
- Manage a group of BI and Analytics specialists. Support people development agenda, leading future capabilities, and innovative culture.
- Establish and own the agenda for BI product release plan to maintain Agile delivery cadence. Work effectively with key stakeholders on backlog prioritization and resource planning.
- Create strong networks with key stakeholders, enabling the function's ability to execute at pace and promote transparency of information across the organization.
- Influence and lead internal team and facilitate discussions with key stakeholders through the provision of high-quality artefacts and effective communications.
- Set expectations, share best practice, and manage, monitor, coach and develop colleagues to ensure new capabilities (e.g. GenAI) built in the team and products.
- Drive and encourage constructive cross-country and cross-business teamwork through collaboration and matrix management
- Thorough understanding of HSBC Group structures, values, behaviours, processes, and objectives including understanding of the GB and CMB businesses.
- Understanding of the end-to-end client / customer lifecycle in Commercial and Global Banking.
- Leadership or people manager experience of a business unit
- Hands-on analytics and/or BI experience solving complex business problems using data.
- PhD or master's degree from reputed university in statistics, economics, or any other quantitative fields
- Strong analytical skills with business analysis experience or equivalent. In-depth knowledge and understanding of financial-services/ banking-operations is a must.
- Ability to establish strong relationships with stakeholders, both internally and externally
- Exceptionally strong organizational, problem-solving & inter-personal skills. Ability to communicate clearly across all levels.
- An Entrepreneurial spirit/drive to execute quickly with the simultaneous ability to navigate through multiple layers of organizational complexities.
- Experience in managing a wide range of projects.
- Support to develop a culture within team, partner with functional business leaders in developing analytical/data led decision making.
- Translate complex business problems into analytical solutions as generic and re-deployable across multiple regions / markets. Drive redeployment of the solutions
- Ability to solve complex business problems through innovative solutions and an acumen to identify value creating opportunities for our business partners.
- Agile delivery experience.
