We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Senior Software Engineer.
In this role, you will:
- Develop Code in iSeries AS400 Technology
- Own end-to-end i.e. design, build, test, deployment and production support.
- Perform peer review and guide junior team members.
- Analyse technical issues and provide solutions with effective use of existing techniques and/or tools.
- Collaborate with other teams in order to build business requirements
- Be an innovation agent by doing continuous improvement including automation and learning
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:
- 4-6 Years Hands-on expertise RPG400/IV, RPG Free, CL, SQL, Embedded SQL, Query & ILE
- Recent and advanced experience with RPG (ILE/FREE) using Procedures, Service Programs, and Functions
- Hands-on experience of Application Design & Development in BFSI/Banking domain is desirable
- Strong analytical and problem solving capabilities is a must
- Experience exposing and consuming web services, JSON, REST APIs is desirable
- Change management experience and familiarity with a change management tool
- Understanding of DevOps concepts and techniques
- Strong understanding and working experience with CI/CD and available tools i.e. usage of Jenkins, Sonar, RDI (Desirable)
- Basic knowledge of Agile (scrum methodologies) is desirable
- Ability to quickly acquire new skills and tools
- Ability to resolve critical issues in timely manner
- Be a clear communicator, document your work, share your ideas
- Experience releasing to production what you developed and then supporting it
