Public Relations Communications Specialist
Job Description
As a PR & Communication Specialist you will be responsible for shaping and executing our external communications and PR strategy. This role involves crafting compelling content, managing media relations, and promoting the company's innovations and success stories.The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience in a PR agency, preferably with a background in tech companies, and a strong ability to produce high-quality marketing and communication materials.
Key Responsibilities:
- Media Relations: Build and maintain relationships with key journalists, influencers, and media outlets in the digital marketing and tech sectors.
- Press Releases & Announcements: Write, edit, and distribute press releases, product announcements, and other communication materials to promote company updates and innovations.
- Content Creation: Develop high-quality marketing content including email campaigns, blog posts, case studies, success stories, and white papers.
- Brand Messaging: Collaborate with internal teams to ensure consistent messaging across all communication channels and external materials.
- Campaign Support: Work closely with the marketing team to create compelling PR campaigns that align with business objectives.
- Media Monitoring: Track media coverage, analyze PR performance, and report on key metrics to continuously improve strategy.
- Crisis Communications: Assist in managing and addressing any public relations challenges or issues in a timely and effective manner.
- Event Support: Assist in the coordination of media events, webinars, and speaking opportunities.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience working in a PR agency or communications role, with a preference for candidates who have worked with tech or ad tech companies.
- Content Writing: Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills. Ability to produce clear, engaging, and error-free copy under tight deadlines.
- Tech-Savvy: Comfortable with digital marketing terminology and trends, and capable of translating complex technical concepts into simple, engaging content.
- Education: A bachelor's degree in Mass Communication, English, Journalism, or a related field.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills with an eye for detail and a passion for storytelling.
- Creativity: Ability to think creatively and bring fresh ideas to PR campaigns and marketing materials.
- Time Management: Strong organizational and multitasking skills to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Team Player: Collaborative, flexible, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
Nice to Have:
- Experience with PR tools and platforms like Cision, Meltwater, or similar.
- Knowledge of SEO and its relevance to PR and content strategy.
- Familiarity with analytics tools to measure PR campaign success.
