Job Summary
The Finance Intern will support the finance department of the HR organization by assisting with various financial tasks, including budgeting, financial reporting, and analysis. This position provides an excellent opportunity to gain practical experience in financial operations within an HR-focused organization.The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical mindset, attention to detail, and a desire to learn about finance in the context of human resources and business operations.
Roles and Responsibilities
Assist in preparing and maintaining financial records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
Support the finance team in managing accounts payable and receivable processes, including invoice processing and payment tracking.
Help with the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, summarizing key financial data and performance metrics.
Assist in budget preparation and monitoring, tracking expenditures, and ensuring alignment with financial goals.
Aid in financial analysis, providing insights into cost-saving opportunities and performance improvement.
Help track payroll-related expenses, ensuring accurate data for HR and finance departments.
Assist with data entry, maintaining financial databases, and ensuring records are up to date.
Support the finance team in audit preparations and compliance with regulatory requirements.
Collaborate with other departments, including HR and operations, to gather necessary financial data for budgeting and reporting purposes.
Mandatory Requirements
Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or any related field.
Strong interest in finance and accounting, preferably with an interest in HR organizations or business operations.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel (experience with financial modelling or analysis a plus).
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.
Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive financial data.
