Finance Analyst (L5), Sr. Finance Analyst, Recon Team
As such, Finance Analyst designs, builds, maintains and enhances scalable systems that provide accurate data as well as actionable insights to the business.
As a Finance Analyst, you will be responsible for working with terabytes of data to develop automated and self-service scalable solutions for Finance and FOAA teams. You will be responsible for building a robust set of operational, financial and business metrics, requirements documentation and will utilize metrics to determine improvement opportunities.
From Day 1, you will be challenged with a variety of tasks, ranging from creating datasets, reports, dashboards and drive faster reconciliations. You will interact with internal program, finance, operations, technical teams and external stakeholders to gather requirements, structure scalable and perform data solutions, and gain a deep understanding of key datasets.You will design, implement and drive adoption of new analytic technologies and solutions and promote industry standard best practices. You will be responsible to tune query performance against large and complex data sets. You will help translate analytic insights into concrete, actionable recommendations for business or product improvement.
You will engage in a diverse range of activities, including monthly reporting, month end close activities and reduce the overall turn around time into the process.
Key job responsibilities- Work with cross-functional teams to deliver faster recons and recording of transactions
- Ensure adherence to the SLA's and month end timings for AP close
- Drive automation and ACES projects
- Work with senior leadership on MBR's , account health and Balance sheet review meetings.
- Support related payment teams in driving related payment activities that impact recons
- Act as a trusted business advisor from FInops to FOAA and Accounting teams
- Conduct regular inspections of business performance, analyzing key metrics and identifying opportunities for optimization
- Deliver insightful recommendations to business partners, encompassing cost-saving measures and process enhancements
- Evaluate new projects and assess existing initiatives to provide well-informed go/no-go recommendations
- Design and develop highly available dashboards and metrics in Quicksight
About the team
The AP cash recon team is responsible to drive timely and accurate reconciliations of cash and provide the right information to FOAA and Accounting teams to account and record financial transactions. The team also owns high end projects for Payments and the Treasury Org's.- 3+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience- 4+ years of Accounts Receivable or Account Payable experience
- 4+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience
- 4+ years of creating process improvements with automation and analysis experience
- 4+ years of identifying, leading, and executing opportunities to improve, automate, standardize or simplify finance or business tools and processes experience
- Experience with advanced use of SQL for data mining and business intelligence- 4+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience
- Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)
- Bachelor's degree
