Sr. Compliance Analyst
What You'll Do:
We are looking for a Tax Analyst or Senior Tax Analyst to join our Wrangler team in a fast-paced, dynamic company. The Wrangler team is an interdepartmental collaboration of the support and compliance departments. Our goal is to benefit both departments by providing increased understandings of compliance and support processes to analysts and product specialists.This is a great opportunity for a candidate to work in an innovative environment and grow within our business. The Analyst is primarily responsible for prepping sales/use tax returns, validation of new sales/use tax returns customers, and Support/Compliance case management.
Candidate must be detail-oriented and proficient at balancing multiple priorities/issues. They must be able to communicate clearly and professionally in written, verbal, and electronic formats. Candidate must also understand basic math and accounting concepts.
What Your Responsibilities Will Be:
- Preparation, review, and filing of multi-jurisdictional sales/use, business and occupation, and gross receipts tax returns for monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, and annual filings
- Review and validate jurisdictional returns set up on behalf of our customers
- Perform timely analysis and case manager to resolve Support/Compliance customer inquiries
- Communicate clearly and precisely with customers in written and verbal form
- Work collaboratively with team to train new team members on compliance processes
- Document, organize, and maintain team training materials
What You'll Need to be Successful:
- Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently yet still function as a team player
- Ability to give and receive both positive and constructive feedback
- Ability to learn and adapt to different software applications and tools
- Must have knowledge of Microsoft Office such as Word and Excel.
