Job Duties and Responsibilities
As the Manager of IT System Administration at Dish India, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless operation of our IT infrastructure. Your responsibilities will encompass a wide range of tasks aimed at maintaining and enhancing our IT systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- End-to-End IT Infrastructure Management: Oversee the comprehensive management of Dish India's IT infrastructure, encompassing end-user computing (Mac, Windows), LAN & WAN networks, Windows and Linux servers, virtualization, storage, and backups.
- Lead and mentor a team of dynamic IT/System administrators, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
- Drive complex IT infrastructure projects from inception through execution, ensuring successful implementation within established timelines and budgets.
- Work closely and collaborate with both onshore and offshore to align IT initiatives with the overall business objectives.
- Develop and implement infrastructure automation solutions to enhance operational efficiency.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to the team, ensuring the adoption of industry best practices and the pursuit of continuous improvement.
- Liaise and coordinate with infrastructure OEM vendors to procure equipment, negotiate contracts, and ensure the timely resolution of technical issues.
- Develop an annual IT infrastructure plan tailored to the specific needs and growth objectives of Dish India, aligning technology investments with business strategies.
- Recruit, onboard, manage, and mentor IT/System administrators, nurturing their professional growth and fostering a culture of excellence within the team.
Skills, Experience and Requirements
Requirements:
- Engineering degree or MCA with 14 plus years of total experience with experience in managing IT infrastructure operations teams.
- Proven experience in IT system administration and infrastructure management.
- Strong leadership and project management skills.
- Expertise in infrastructure automation and technology solutions.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
- Vendor management experience is a plus.
- Relevant industry certifications (e.g., ITIL, AWS, and VMware) preferred.
- Excellent oral, written and presentation skills.
