Application Support Engineer

Educational Qualification : 15 years full time education

As an Application Support Engineer, you will act as software detectives, providing a dynamic service identifying and solving issues within multiple components of critical business systems. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth functioning of applications and providing technical support to end-users.

• Expected to perform independently and become an SME.
• Required active participation/contribution in team discussions.
• Contribute in providing solutions to work-related problems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve application issues.
• Monitor and maintain the performance of applications, ensuring high availability and reliability.
• Investigate and diagnose incidents, identifying root causes and implementing appropriate solutions.
• Provide technical support to end-users, addressing their queries and resolving issues in a timely manner.
• Document and maintain knowledge base articles for troubleshooting and issue resolution.
• Continuously improve application support processes and procedures.
• Stay updated with the latest technologies and industry trends to enhance application support capabilities.

• Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in IBM z/OS.
• Strong understanding of mainframe systems and their components.
• Experience in troubleshooting and resolving application issues in a mainframe environment.
• Knowledge of JCL (Job Control Language) and COBOL programming language.
• Familiarity with mainframe utilities and tools such as ISPF, SDSF, and File-AID.
• Good To Have Skills: Experience with IBM CICS and DB2.
• Solid grasp of ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library) principles and practices.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

• The candidate should have a minimum of 2 years of experience in IBM z/OS.
• This position is based at our Gurugram office.
• A 15 years full-time education is required.
