Job Description

Job Overview:

This role requires strong legal knowledge, analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively across various departments.

Key Responsibilities:

Contract Management:

• Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of commercial contracts, including lease agreements, development agreements, vendor agreements, and NDAs.
• Ensure all contracts comply with applicable laws and regulations.

Execution and Registration:

• Assist with the execution, notarization, and registration of contracts to ensure legal validity.

Legal Notices:

• Draft and/or vet legal notices and prepare responses to any legal notices received by the organization.

Legal Operations:

• Manage legal operations and liaise with external legal consultants and advisors for expert guidance.

Legal Research:

• Conduct thorough legal research and due diligence on property titles, compliance, zoning regulations, and land use issues.

Dispute Resolution:

• Support the negotiation and settlement of disputes related to real estate transactions, ensuring favorable outcomes for the organization.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, sales, and business development, to provide legal guidance and support.

Database Management:

• Maintain a comprehensive database and records of all agreements, KYC documents, and other legal documents.

Regulatory Compliance:

• Ensure all contracts are updated in accordance with the latest laws and regulations.

Risk Management:

• Identify, assess, and manage legal risks across the Company's pan-India operations, implementing strategies to mitigate risks.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum 4-5 years of experience in a legal role in commercial law or real estate, preferably with a start-up.
• Bachelor's degree in Law (LLB) from a recognized institution; a Master's degree (LLM) is a plus.
• Strong understanding of contract law and relevant regulations.
• Excellent negotiation, drafting, and analytical skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams.
• Proficient in legal research and using legal databases.
