Position: Senior Sports Journalist & Deputy Team LeadLocation: Delhi (On-Site)

Overview
We are looking for a seasoned sports journalist with a passion for storytelling and leadership. The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience in sports journalism, a deep understanding of the Indian sports ecosystem, and the ability to manage and mentor a dynamic editorial team.
Key Responsibilities- Editorial Oversight:
- Write and edit high-quality, in-depth stories, interviews, and features on Indian sports.
- Ensure adherence to editorial guidelines and maintain high journalistic standards.
- Leadership & Team Management:
- Function as the deputy team lead for the editorial team, assisting the Team Lead in planning and executing editorial strategies.
- Mentor journalists and stringers while providing constructive feedback and guidance.
- Coverage & Reporting:
- Cover live sports events, press conferences, and conduct exclusive interviews with athletes and stakeholders.
- Represent The Bridge at media events, summits, and panel discussions as required.
- Planning & Coordination:
- Collaborate with the editorial and design teams to plan and execute content strategies.
- Monitor industry trends to identify story opportunities and areas for growth.
- Stakeholder Engagement:
- Build and maintain relationships with athletes, sports federations, and other key stakeholders in the sports ecosystem.
- Liaise with internal teams to ensure smooth content operations.
- Experience: At least 10 years of work experience in sports journalism, with a proven track record of high-quality reporting and storytelling.
- Location: Must be based in Delhi and familiar with the local and national sports ecosystem.
- Strong command of English; proficiency in Hindi or other regional languages is a plus.
- Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills with an eye for detail
- Ability to report on camera will be a value addition
- Leadership experience, with the ability to manage and inspire a team.
- A strong network within the sports industry, including athletes, federations, and other stakeholders.
- Familiarity with digital publishing tools, content management systems (CMS), and social media platforms.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
