Automation Test Engineer I

Overview:

Paychex India is looking for highly motivated, self-starting individual that can transform testing into a continuous and efficient end-to-end quality engineering function using quality processes, tools, and methodologies significantly improving control, accuracy, and integrity.

This an ideal position for a Test Engineer, who is passionate about utilizing automation tools, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure the delivery of high-quality software products.

Responsibilities:

• What can you expect to do in this role?
• Develop and execute Manual and Automated test scripts using industry-standard tools and frameworks.
• Collaborate with developers and product owners to understand software requirements and design.
• Identify and document software defects and track them to resolution.
• Work as a team using the MOB programming approach.
• Stay updated with the latest testing trends and technologies to continuously improve the testing process.
• Open, fun culture embracing innovation and improvement.

Technologies and Tools:

• Good understanding of software testing concepts and methodologies.
• Hands-on coding using Python (preferred) or Java.
• Must have exposure to any one of the Automation testing tools- Selenium(web) or Appium or Robot (Preferred)
• Good to have knowledge on Automation Frameworks (Data- driven/ Behavior driven)
• Basic knowledge of SQL (can write simple queries).
• Familiarity with version control systems like Git.
• Good to have exposure on Jenkins, able to analyze logs and debug.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's and/or master’s degree in computer science, computer engineering or related technical discipline.
• 1-2 years of professional experience in related field.
• Open to learn new technologies and tools.
• Excellent communication skill (Verbal and Written).
