The Service Delivery Director, in cooperation with the General Manager, provides technical vision and leadership to the Delivery teams. The Service Delivery Directoradvises teams on technical issues and their business implications using their expertise in AHEAD's core technology competencies.This role will help drive the delivery of client-focused, high-quality projects, AHEAD offering development, technical pre-sales guidance, internal IP and Service Delivery Framework development, and leading the practice on identifying industry trends and future areas of growth.
The Service Delivery Director works with Delivery Directors, Delivery Managers, Principal Consultants, and Project Managers to ensure that clients business and technical expectations are met appropriately. The Service Delivery Director will act as coach, guide, and mentor to team members and will be responsible for the professional growth of those
Responsibilities- Manage Practice Delivery Managers
- Maintain a deep understanding of the business metrics by which the practice is measured, and ensure overall practice alignment with AHEAD's financial goals
- Responsible for fiscal planning for the delivery organization, in conjunction with the office of Financial Planning
- Demonstrate a high degree of responsiveness to our sales teams and responsible for maintaining close alignment with the respective sales leadership in each geography that AHEAD operates within
- Maintain a consistent cadence with the Pre-Sales Specialists to ensure each Delivery Manager has visibility into the sales pipeline
- Ensure practice managers are effectively managing their teams to achieve target utilization and bill rates
- Responsible for ensuring the overall quality of all services delivered by the practice, measured by feedback that is tracked by customer quality metrics surveys
- Responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with key vendors that support the solutions offerings developed and delivered by the practice
- Responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with key client stakeholders and project sponsors
- Responsible for providing feedback from the Pre-Sales Manager to the Delivery Managers with respect to enhancements to future SDF development
- Responsible for collaborating with the Pre-Sales Manager on the development of new and innovative ways to enhance service delivery, maximize project profitability, and delivery positive customer outcomes based on feedback from the Delivery Managers
- Responsible for ensuring the Delivery Managers have the necessary training to effectively manage their teams and support to identify and develop new talent.
- Responsible for the review and approval of Work Breakdown Structures, Scope of work and Approach documents, and Statements of Work
- Work with team to build individualized career development plans
- Coach, mentor, and develop direct reports, including overseeing new employee on-boarding.
- Lead employees to meet the organization's expectations for productivity, quality, and goal accomplishment.
- Provide effective performance feedback through employee recognition, rewards, and disciplinary action.
- Understand sales pipeline, team capacity, and skills, and work with practice leadership to adjust staffing plans as needed
- Maintain skills and certification inventory of team
- Consciously create a workplace culture that supports the values and guiding principles of the organization

- Build and maintain a culture of trust through open and honest feedback and accountability
- Work with Project Managers and the Resource Management team to identify appropriate resources for projects
- Continuously improve project scoping and delivery by capturing lessons learned after each engagement and adjusting future proposals and approaches as appropriate
- Possess a broad base of business acumen, and a strong desire to support the client.
- Understand the detail behind the implemented solution and having the ability to communicate the high-level vision with the client.
- The ability to think past the products and create solutions to meet the business/IT needs.
- Effectively communicate solutions architecture to the client, third parties, and the team.
- Encompass strong listening and interpersonal skills, an ability to solve complex problems, a big picture mentality, and an aptitude to visualize the solution.
- Able to foster teamwork among the delivery team(s).
- Proficiency in hardware, software and/or operating systems environments.
- Ability to manage a team environment.
- Proven problem-solving ability
- Presentation and facilitation of executive level meetings, group presentations, and collaborative technical workshops.
