Inviting applications for the role of [Business Analyst], [Logistics / Supply Chain Finance]!In this role, the associate would be responsible for the cost management of finished goods%27 delivery to warehouses. Principally this involves working closely with our haulage partners, ensuring that invoices are recorded and paid at the agreed price.
The ideal candidate would have excellent communication skills with previous experience of supply chain finance. Additional responsibilities include month-end accruals and ensuring that goods received reflect delivery notes.
Responsibilities- Relationship management with haulage partners: Managing the relationship with haulage partners, managing lane rate charges together with exception handling
- Invoice processing: Ensure invoices are checked and processed, so all freight-related, storage-related and value added services are approved for payments.
- Month end close support and accruals: Ensure support for month end close related activities - booking of invoices, accruals postings, provision of status overviews etc.
- Raising of Purchase Orders: request and plan spend approval, and ensuring that vendors have received spend authority codes
- Ancillary delivery charge monitoring: managing demurrage, excess waiting times and non-standard charges that may be raised.
- SAP ERP: Using SAP to record accrual journals and P&L review
- Communication: Act as main point of communication between our haulage partners and business
- Reporting: Prepare and Analyse key reports, maintaining accurate records of logistics costs to support the month end reporting process
- Demonstrate oral and written communication skills and the ability to communicate issues in a succinct and logical manner. Strong listening skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks to meet deadlines and work with team when help is needed.
- Ability to generate innovative solutions to problems and effectively work with and communicate to key stakeholders.
Qualifications we seek in you!
Minimum Qualifications / Skills- Bachelor or Master Degree
- Relevant years experience in Supply Chain Management, preferably in logistics finance or Transportation finance related positions
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and influencing skills
- Excellent analytical and execution skills
- Strong sense of customer service and analytic skills
- Self-starter, able to accomplish tasks independently, can-do attitude.
- Capable of working under pressure and tight deadlines.
- Ability to learn new systems quickly and leverage systems and information to influence others
- End user knowledge in SAP MM & SD, SRM preferred
- Advanced excel knowledge preferred
