Account Development Representative
What You'll Do:
Want to kick off an exciting career with a fast-growing SaaS technology business in a complicated, exciting & high growth area of indirect tax and e-invoicing compliance? We are looking for highly energetic, customer-centric, driven professionals with sound business acumen, strong technical skills, and natural sales instincts to join our Inside Sales group as a Business Development Representative.You will report to the manager of sales development.
You will gain experience working with prospects of all levels, in a variety of international B2B and B2C organisations. Avalara offers a fast-paced, innovative environment where you will be provided with modern tech stack tools and ongoing coaching support to excel in outbound selling.You will learn our SaaS business solutions from the ground up, thus facilitating your rapid career advancement into your first sales closing position.
What Your Responsibilities Will Be:
Identify and source suitable prospects in main industries across the EMEA(3PM-11PM IST)/APAC(6AM-3PM IST or 9AM-6PM IST) and India/Australia/New Zealand regions and internationally- Use innovative ways to engage prospects through structured outbound activities
- Generate a pipeline of qualified leads through a range of channels
- Build an excellent knowledge of products and services to be sold
- Learn and develop skills to operate within this specialised and diverse sector which is largely misunderstood
- Maintain active engagement with new and existing leads through creative follow-up communications designed to increase potential interest in Avalara products
- Drive prospect participation in webinars, certification events, and/or conferences
- Achieve monthly quotas of outbound interactions by phone, email and other creative tools to improve lead development and sales accepted opportunities
- Actively collaborate as a team member within the department and with the organisation as a whole
What You'll Need to be Successful:
- A minimum of 2 years of outbound B2B experience is preferred
- Fluent English Speaker
- Persistent and positive
- Strong desire to be in technology sales and determined to succeed
- Experience in social selling and strong communication skills
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
- Software sales experience would be highly desirable
