Product Tech Lead

Overview:

This role involves not only technical leadership but also contributing to the product lifecycle—from feature design to troubleshooting product issues in production environments.

Responsibilities:

Key Responsibilities:

• Leadership & Product-Oriented Team Management:
• Lead a team of 10+ engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration, ownership, and high-performance delivery with a focus on building features that meet product goals.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members, resolving complex product-related technical issues, and driving continuous improvement.
• Ensure the team is aligned with product requirements and objectives, translating these into technical designs and tasks.
• Product Feature Design & Development:
• Design and implement scalable, high-performance product features using Python, PySpark, and Node.js, ensuring they meet customer needs and business objectives.
• Collaborate with product managers, business stakeholders, and other technical teams to define and refine product features.
• Ensure the technical feasibility of product features and functionality, from ideation to deployment.
• Product Issue Support & Troubleshooting:
• Act as a go-to technical expert, supporting the team and the product in resolving any issues that arise in production.
• Troubleshoot product-related technical challenges, offering solutions and optimizations to improve product performance and user experience.
• Ensure that the product is delivered with the highest level of quality and reliability.
• Cloud Integration & Infrastructure:
• Architect and deploy cloud-native applications, ensuring scalability, security, and efficiency for the product.
• Ensure the cloud infrastructure aligns with the evolving needs of the product.
• Stakeholder Collaboration & Communication:
• Collaborate closely with product managers, business teams, and other technical teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Communicate progress, challenges, and product solutions clearly and effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Requirements:

Mandatory Skills & Experience:

• Core Technical Skills:
• Strong expertise in Python, PySpark, and Node.js.
• Comprehensive knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, or Azure).
• Product Mindset & Design:
• Strong ability to understand the end-to-end product lifecycle, including design, development, and post-launch support.
• Proven experience in designing product features that align with business objectives and customer needs.
• Ability to collaborate with product teams to prioritize and refine features and functionality.
• Cloud & Product Support Expertise:
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms and services, including deployment, scaling, and performance optimization in the cloud.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex product issues and provide timely, effective solutions.
• Leadership & Problem-Solving:
• Proven experience in managing and mentoring a team of 10 or more engineers, ensuring they have the tools and support to succeed.
• Ability to help the team navigate technical challenges, offering guidance and solutions.
• Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on delivering product-driven solutions.

Preferred Skills (Nice to Have):

• Familiarity with Google Cloud Services (GCS) for storage solutions.
• Knowledge of BigQuery (BQ) for data analytics and processing.
• Experience with Apache Airflow for orchestrating workflows.
• Exposure to Google Cloud Dataproc for processing large-scale data.
• Understanding of Generative AI (GenAI) technologies and their application in product development.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 10-15 years of hands-on experience in software development, technical leadership, and product-oriented roles.
• Expertise in modern software development practices, cloud computing, and agile methodologies.
