Division-Location: EPD-Baddi Department: EHS

Designation: Senior Executive Qualification: B.Sc./M.Sc. or Diploma/ B. Tech Engg.

(Chemical /Electrical) & Diploma in Industrial / Fire Safety

Reporting to: Arabinda Behera Experience Required: 10-15 years.

Followings will be the Core Job Responsibilities of the position holder:

• Ensure EHS legal compliance
• Take regular shop floor rounds and actively interact with employees for EHS improvement
• Train the employees on various EHS topics
• Implement Abbott's global and divisional EHS standards and prepare local EHS SOPs
• Conduct risk assessments for all high-risk activities
• Ensure machine guarding compliance through collaboration with Engg and User departments
• Develop Emergency Response team, arrange periodic Mock Drills and fire drills
• Work for Chemical safety management including receipt, storage, transport, use and disposal of chemicals
• Work for robust incident management including reporting, investigating and CAPA management
• Conduct periodic EHS inspections and audits
• Ensure robust PPE management
• Ensure effective implementation of Permit to Work System
• Work with procurement and user department for Contractor Safety Management
• Ensure upkeep of fire prevention and control systems including hydrant and detectors
• Ensure efficient operation of ETP, STP, UF, RO
• Carry out environmental monitoring for water, wastewater, ambient air, stack and other emissions
• Carry out industrial hygiene workplace monitoring
• Make sure robust waste management of both Hazardous & non hazardous Waste
• Participate in activities related ISO 14001:2015 (EMS) & ISO 45001:2018 (OHSMS)
• Arrange EHS mass awareness activities like world environment day, national safety week etc.
• Prepare and submit periodic reports on various internal EHS portals of Abbott
• Work in SAP to create EHS related purchase requisitions and GRNs
