Senior Project Manager

Job Description

The Senior Project Manager will be a key driver in aligning project outcomes with business goals while fostering a culture of excellence and accountability.

Key ResponsibilitiesInternal Projects Management:

1. Strategic Initiative Oversight:

• Manage internal projects spanning various departments, such as IT, HR, Finance, Operations, and Marketing.
• Develop project charters, objectives, and execution plans to support organizational growth and operational efficiency.

1. Cross-Departmental Collaboration:

• Coordinate with department heads to ensure seamless execution of initiatives.
• Facilitate workshops and meetings to align stakeholders and resolve cross-functional dependencies.

1. Performance Metrics and Reporting:

• Define success metrics for internal projects and track progress using key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Provide detailed project status reports to senior leadership, highlighting achievements, risks, and mitigation plans.

Client IT Project Management:

1. Project Planning and Execution:

• Oversee the end-to-end delivery of client IT projects, including planning, scheduling, resource allocation, and risk management.
• Develop project scope, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with clients and internal stakeholders.

1. Stakeholder Engagement:

• Act as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring clear communication and alignment of project goals.
• Manage client expectations, providing timely updates and resolving issues proactively.

1. Budget and Resource Management:

• Prepare and manage project budgets, ensuring cost-effectiveness and efficient use of resources.
• Coordinate with resource managers to allocate personnel, tools, and technologies required for project success.

Risk Management and Quality Assurance:

1. Risk Mitigation:

• Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies to address them proactively.
• Conduct regular risk assessments and ensure compliance with regulatory and organizational standards.

• Establish quality benchmarks and ensure project deliverables meet or exceed expectations.
• Implement feedback mechanisms to drive continuous improvement in project delivery.

Team Leadership:

• Mentor junior project managers and team members to build organizational project management capabilities.

• Address team or stakeholder conflicts effectively, ensuring project timelines and objectives remain on track.

QualificationsEducation and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field (Master's degree preferred).
• Minimum of 10+ years of experience in project management, with 5+ years in a senior project management role.
• Proven track record of delivering both internal and client-facing IT projects.

Certifications (Preferred):

• PMP (Project Management Professional)
• PRINCE2 Practitioner
• Agile certifications such as Scrum Master (CSM) or PMI-ACP

Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in project management tools like Microsoft Project, Jira, Asana, or Trello.
• Familiarity with ITIL processes and IT project lifecycles.
• Experience in managing large-scale IT infrastructure, application development, or digital transformation projects.
