Role Overview:
We are seeking a Technical Project Manager (TPM) with a robust background in data engineering to lead and manage projects that support and advance Data Transformation Initiatives. The ideal candidate will combine technical proficiency with strong project management skills to drive the
successful delivery of data-driven solutions. This role caters to experienced TPMs as well as data engineers aspiring to transition into a project management career.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Management:
- Drive end-to-end project lifecycle, including initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, and closure.
- Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders.
- Manage project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation effectively.
- Mitigate risks and resolve issues proactively to ensure seamless project execution.
Technical Leadership:
- Collaborate with data engineers, architects, and analysts to ensure technical feasibility of projects.
- Review designs, data models, and pipelines to align with best practices and organizational goals.
- Address technical challenges and provide solutions to ensure project alignment with evolving business needs.
Stakeholder Collaboration:
- Communicate project updates, risks, and deliverables to stakeholders and leadership.
- Manage cross-functional relationships to achieve project objectives effectively.
Process Optimization:
- Implement best practices for Agile, Scrum, or hybrid methodologies to improve team productivity.
- Continuously optimize workflows and foster a culture of innovation within the team.
Required Qualifications:
For Experienced TPMs:
10+ years of experience in technology, including 3+ years in a TPM or similar leadership role.
Demonstrated success in managing complex data engineering or data pipeline projects.
Strong understanding of ETL pipelines, data lakes, and modern data architectures.
Proficiency with tools like Azure, Databricks, SQL, or Power BI/Tableau.
Prior experience in Managed Services Engagements will be advantage
For Emerging TPMs with Potential:
5+ years of experience in data engineering or related fields with aspirations to lead projects.
Hands-on experience with data platforms, big data ecosystems, and cloud technologies.
Proven ability to learn and apply project management principles and tools.
Prior experience in Managed Services Engagements will be advantage
