About Our Client

Mishcon Global Capability Centre provides operational help to the Group

• Consulting with other support functions in the firm (Finance, Information Security, Risk & Compliance, Sustainability, etc.) to solicit information and data and ensure alignment on wider programmes being delivered within the firm
• Analysing quotations and making recommendations based on price, availability, terms, quality, and past performance
• Managing category areas and representing departments as directed
• Working with the procurement team to ensure procurement documentation, resources and templates are in line with industry standards and the firm's requirements and readily accessible
• Ensuring the central procurement risk register is updated and working with stakeholders and the wider firm to mitigate risks.
• Creating strong working relationships with key stakeholders to ensure requirements and considerations are being incorporated into ongoing delivery of the services from key suppliers as well as ongoing compliance to the firm's procurement policies and processes
• With support from the procurement team, contributing on strategic sourcing, supplier relationship management and supplier performance activities on specific categories of spend
• Supporting the procurement team in monitoring supplier performance to identify trends likely to indicate poor performance or supplier excellence (including the management of KPIs) and conduct regular performance and continuous improvement reviews)
• Maintaining knowledge around key areas relevant to the role, including, but not limited to: GDPR, boiler plate clauses, non-disclosure agreements, IR35

The Successful Applicant

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

Previous Experience:

• Ideally have a minimum of 4 years relevant procurement and supply management experience; and:
• Proven relevant experience in a range of market sectors

Certifications:

• CIPS accreditation preferred or willingness to work towards achieving CIPS accreditation.

• Personable and able to form strong working relationships with diverse internal and external stakeholders up to senior level
• Able to demonstrate experience in a broad range of key procurement skills including negotiation, influencing, project and change management and governance
• Ability to perform detailed comparative financial analysis and present findings in logical, concise manner.
• Able to work well in environments that have changing priorities where short deadlines are often the norm.
• Experience with e-procurement tools and systems
• Strong analytical skills to produce supporting documentation for business decisions and advanced knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word and PowerPoint essential) preferably a Document Management System
