Reporting to the US-based Manager of the Release Management team, and, India based Manager for logistics, the Release Manager will play a crucial role in overseeing environment activities, including software deployments, installations, and implementations.This position involves collaboration with US-based global Professional Services teams and India-based technical and operations teams, acting as the primary coordinator for all environment-related tasks.
The role demands a deep understanding of ITIL/ITSM, Release & Change Management, strong project organization skills, excellent relationship management, and consulting expertise. Additionally, the ability to orchestrate and advise cross-functional team tasks is essential.The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in software deployments and installations, along with the technical skills necessary to support day-to-day activities.
The Release manager engages in high-level client-facing consulting which include hosting and orchestrating environment management sessions with clients, as well internal operations teams. The release manager is overall expected to understand the SDLC process starting from development to deployment in live environments with due diligence.A lot relies on this role being the front face of all environment activities and advising operations teams as well PM teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Upgrades & Installs: Orchestrate and manage deployments for planned changes such as Application Upgrades, 3rd Party Application installs, Database Refreshes, etc. executed by the Operations team.
- OS patching: Orchestrate & manage patching activities for all our payor implementation clients
- Tier1 activities: Provide coverage for Environment Management during off-business hours and represent changes in CAB. Create tickets for various scenarios per the Change Management process.

- Deployment Management – Orchestrate all types of software deployments
- Change Management – Enforce CM processes established, due diligence and organizational skills being the key factors
- Environment Management – Ensure Environments are in a last known good state
- Implementation Management – Orchestrate and lead environment tasks in Payor implementations
- Risk Management: Identify potential environment related risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure success in deliveries.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure that all deliverables meet the highest standards of quality and compliance with industry regulations.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay current with healthcare industry trends and best RM/CM practices, continuously seeking opportunities to improve our deployment management processes. Lead initiatives to improve internal processes, tools, and methodologies.
About Global Professional Services:
Our Global Professional Services team supports customer-funded service delivery initiatives separate from standard SaaS license support activities. Examples include customer implementations, business expansion, and optimization initiatives
What you will do:
- Deployment Management
- Lead & orchestrate any kind of changes being introduced in the environments
- Coordinate day-to-day activities with the operations teams as well as PS project teams
- Consume requirements & deploy related changes during IST hours in coordination with India teams
- Manage end to end logistics of change management
- Ticket – Create/Assist
- Schedule with Operations including attending CAB meetings, if applicable
- Orchestrate the deployment
- Manage Customer Communications on customer’s environments.
- Customer Onboarding to HealthEdge deployment processes
- Onboard the customer
- Release Management
- Advise the customer in adopting the best release by going through the product release artifacts
- Lead and Manage end to end logistics for HealthRules Payor upgrades, and 3rd party application upgrades
- Environment Management
- Ensure the environments are in a last known good state
- Leverage appropriate teams to troubleshoot and resolve environmental issues.
- Troubleshoot scenarios in production environments hosted in Linux OS to ensure the environments are restored to the last known good state.
What you will bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, or similar discipline or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Emotional Quotient Expected: Can do attitude along with self-awareness and motivation to constantly learn and improve.
- At least 7 years of technical software implementation experience including configuring environments for application migration.
- Solid understanding of Release & Change Management processes
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills - self-starter who can dive into complex projects and take it forward with minimal supervision
- Experience working with Linux server environments, enterprise collaboration applications, network technologies.
- Strong focus on customer service
- Experience working with Web Applications, Databases and Web Services (Any technology
- An in depth understanding of ITIL/ITSM practices and solutions development from the drawing board to production delivery
- Prior experience with disaster recovery exercises between data centers involving applications as well as database servers.

- Six Sigma Certification
- Design and develop solutions using Web, Database and Scripting technologies (Any technology).
- Experience with HealthCare Payor Implementation (replacement or new) for any line of business (Medicare, Medicaid, etc.)
