Role Overview

Silkhaus is seeking a qualified Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP) Specialist with 1-2 years of relevant experience. The ideal candidate will hold a qualification such as Chartered Accountant (CA) or equivalent and will play a pivotal role in managing financial operations and ensuring compliance with company financial policies.

Key Responsibilities

Accounts Receivables:

  • Manage the full accounts receivable cycle, including invoicing, payment collection, and cash application.
  • Follow up on outstanding invoices and resolve payment discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of all AR records, adhering to company policies and procedures.
  • Process vendor invoices accurately and timely, ensuring compliance with financial policies and contracts.
  • Liaise with vendors and internal departments to resolve payment issues and discrepancies.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date AP records and ensure timely payments.
Financial Operations
  • Assist in month-end close activities related to both AR and AP functions.
  • Support audits by preparing necessary documentation and reconciliations for accounts receivable and accounts payable.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, regulatory requirements, and company policies.
  • Prepare financial reports and analysis to support management in decision-making.
Financial Operations and Compliance

Corss-Functional Cooperation
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify process improvements and automation opportunities in AR and AP.
  • Ensure alignment with company-wide financial goals and operational standards.
Skills And Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification preferred.
  • 1-2 years of hands-on experience in accounts receivable, accounts payable, or general accounting roles.
  • Strong understanding of financial principles, including cash flow management, invoicing, and vendor management.
  • Proficient in accounting software and MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
Preferred Skills
  • Experience with ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite) is a plus.
  • Familiarity with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
  • Ability to adapt and thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
