Overview:
We are currently seeking for an HR Information System Manager who will be responsible for the management, support, and optimization of our HR Management System, Workday. This includes the analysis of HR needs, customization, and administration of the HR Information System to enhance employee data management, improve efficiency, and ensure compliance with regulations.The role focuses on system administration, configuration, reporting, and ensuring that Workday is effectively utilized to meet HR operational needs. The HRIS Manager will work closely with HR, IT, and other business units to support data management, drive process improvements, and ensure the system's functionality aligns with the business's goals.
Your expertise in HR Information Systems and data management will be essential in unifying processes, enhancing reporting capabilities, and delivering actionable insights to support strategic decision-making. Together with the current HR Information Systems (HR IS) team, you will be the first point of contact for colleagues inside and outside of HR on all topics related to (global) HR data and HR Information Systems.
You will be part of the existing HR IS team and report directly to the VP HR Operations & Controlling (HR Analytics & Information Systems).
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Workday System Management: Administer and manage the daily operations of Workday, including Core HCM, compensation, performance and talent management including maintaining and upgrading the system, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring data integrity.
- Implementation and Upgrades: Configure Workday modules based on HR needs, ensuring the system is optimized for functionality and user experience.
- Workday Upgrades and Enhancements: Lead and coordinate system upgrades, new feature implementation, and testing to ensure smooth transitions with minimal disruption to users.
- Data Management and Integrity: Ensure the accuracy, security, and confidentiality of employee data within Workday. Develop and maintain data reporting standards and create, test and carry out mass operations (EIBs).
- Process Improvement: Work with HR teams to streamline processes using the HRIS, ensuring that all HR functions (e.g., recruitment, onboarding, performance management, compensations) are fully optimized.
- User Support and Training: Provide support to the global HR team and other system users by creating training materials and communications, and conduction training sessions.
- Compliance and Security: Ensure Workday configurations and processes comply with legal and regulatory requirements, including GDPR, CCPA, and other data privacy standards. Manage user access controls and security settings.
- Process Improvement: Work closely with HR and other departments to streamline processes and automate workflows within Workday, improving operational efficiency.
- Project Management: Lead HRIS-related projects, such as new module rollouts, system upgrades, or integration with other business systems.
- Global HRIS Admin: Act as 2nd level support for our local HR colleagues and answer ticket across all modules/topics.
- Super User: Support the global HR Ops team in maintaining the system at employee data level (e.g. entering One-Time Payments, contract extensions)
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience: 5+ years of HRIS experience, with a minimum of 3 years working directly with Workday. Experience in Workday system administration, implementation, and configuration.
- Technical Skills:
- Advanced knowledge of Workday HR modules (Core HCM, Recruiting, Performance, Talent, Compensation, etc.).
- Strong understanding of Workday reporting, calculated fields, and business process frameworks.
- Proficiency with data integration tools and techniques within Workday.
- Experience in data migration, integrations, and working with APIs (Workday Studio experience is a plus).
- Analytical Skills: Strong data analysis and reporting skills with proficiency in tools like Workday Prism, Excel, or Power BI.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex Workday functionalities to non-technical users.
- Problem-Solving: Excellent troubleshooting skills with a methodical approach to issue resolution.
- Project Management: Experience in managing HRIS-related projects from start to finish, including timelines, stakeholder engagement, and deliverables.
- Competencies:
- Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy in data management.
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, including HR, IT, and business leaders.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Adaptability in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, with a proactive approach to system improvements.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Workday Pro Certification or other relevant certifications in Workday modules (e.g., Core HCM, Compensation, Recruiting).
- Experience with cloud-based HR systems integration and reporting tools.
- Familiarity with other HR technology systems or tools is a plus.
