Job Purpose (Significance Of The Role & Objectives)

Your efforts will contribute to enhancing test solutions and communicating results efficiently for continuous improvement.

• Perform functionality, and reliability testing for automotive/other electronics components, and systems - e.g. DC-DC converter, Cluster, Infotainment, On-board Charger, pumps, valves, and motors etc.
• Debug any issues or anomalies arising in CAN data of the vehicle, and resolve the issue.
• Review test scenarios, issues, and root cause analysis from testing of other subsystems and overlook testing plans for LV hardware, wiring, and electronics hardware testing EMI/EMC etc.,.
• Perform extensive DFMEA for the electronics components and systems with respective design and development teams, and subsequently prepare DVPs (component, system, vehicle level) to make sure of functionality, performance, safety, reliability and durability.
• Determine component/system-level test solutions that optimize for product reliability and durability, DFMEA-based risk mitigations, test team resources, and program schedules.
• Conduct test data analysis, clearly communicate test results, and collaborate with design and reliability engineers to resolve issues detected in testing.
• Review MiL, SiL and HiL tests done between cross-functional team members.
• Design and implement next-generation hardware test systems and setups to facilitate reliable design characterization and accelerated life testing.
• Procure and develop required test equipment, instrumentation, and data acquisition systems to enhance creative component and product-level reliability testing.
• Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with design, reliability, and manufacturing engineers to suggest design and/or process improvements and address reliability & durability issues based on an understanding of failure's root cause.

• BS/MS/BTech/MTech degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering
• 04 - 08 years of hands-on experience in design validation, hardware testing, electronics subsystem reliability, and durability testing.
• Knowledge of programming in scripting languages for test automation and data analysis/post-processing, using Arduino, etc.
• Excellent written and verbal communication as well as organization and documentation skills.
• Experience in Automotive OEMs working on the development, and manufacturing of Electric 4W Vehicles a must.
• Experience in development and execution of DVP&Rs, DFMEAs preferred.
• Experience with MATLAB, and Python scripting.
• Knowledge and experience in ISO 26262 Functional Safety.
• Preferred to have experience with common automotive communication protocols (CAN, Ethernet).
• Experience working safely with high-voltage equipment.
• Proven ability to develop reliability and durability test setups, including environmental, mechanical, and electrical stress testing, highly preferred.
• Experience specifying sensors for test instrumentation and utilizing data acquisition systems.
