Job Overview

The Banking Portfolio Lead, India is responsible for managing a complex portfolio and acts as a strategic stakeholder to assess and prioritize demand against our goals for expansion and growth within the region’s business line(s). This individual will monitor and bring transparency to overall portfolio health, provide input into planning and reporting processes, and serve as the first line of escalation to clear impediments for delivery.

Leads, develops, and coaches team(s) to reach their peak potential and set account strategies that ensure each partner is poised for success.

Job-Specific Accountabilities

Strategic Account Planning + Management

Oversees portfolio planning and management, leading delivery on performance objectives, financial targets, and critical milestones for portfolio. Governs partner account management cycle for assigned portfolio, ensuring utilization of global frameworks, tools and methods for partnership design, solution design and field monitoring, and performance reporting by account management teams.

Business Development

Oversees engagement with partners’ key decision makers in the region to deliver sustained year-over-year growth of new and existing accounts. Identifies potential partners and networks interested in improving readiness for and/or expanding their business to include finance-related solutions for Water Supply and Sanitation.

Business Metrics + Reporting

Provides timely and accurate reporting and analysis of account performance and related business metrics for team(s), including execution progress and forecast for impact plans and funding utilization to relevant business partners.

Requirements

Required Qualifications & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent related work experience.
  • Ten or more years of progressive responsibility in retail and wholesale finance, and/or water & sanitation infrastructure finance/projects, including strategic account management, partner development and/or project management. Two or more years of supervisory experience.
  • Proven record of accomplishment in business development, expanding accounts and business contracts with one or more of the following: public or private enterprises focusing on water and/or sanitation, banks, microfinance institutions, and related enterprises or networks.
  • Proficient (written and verbal) in English.
Travel Requirement
  • Up to 25% of domestic and international travel.
