Job Description: Key Account Sales Manager Dairy Equipment Products
Position Overview
The Key Account Sales Manager is responsible for developing and maintaining long-term relationships with key customers in the dairy industry, ensuring customer satisfaction, and driving sales growth. This role involves understanding customer needs, providing tailored solutions, and achieving sales targets by effectively managing key accounts.This role focuses on promoting dairy equipment products, including Farm management products, Milk logistic solutions, milk procurement systems (Weighing scale, Analyser's, Printers etc.) and automation technologies (at Bulk Milk collection system, Value added product & Dispatch section), to dairy farms, Milk collection centres & societies, cooperatives, private labels, and processors.
Key Responsibilities- Account Management:
- Develop and nurture relationships with key accounts in the dairy industry, including large farms, cooperatives, Private labels, O.E.M.s and processing units.
- Act as the primary point of contact for customers, addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
- Monitor account performance and identify opportunities for upselling or cross-selling dairy equipment products.
- Sales and Business Development:
- Drive sales of dairy equipment products (e.g., milking procurement systems, Farm management solution, and automation technology).
- Identify potential clients and develop strategies to convert leads into long-term customers.
- Prepare and deliver technical and commercial proposals tailored to client requirements.
- Negotiate contracts and close sales to meet or exceed revenue targets.
- Market and Industry Analysis:
- Stay informed about market trends, customer preferences, and competitor activities in the dairy industry.
- Conduct regular market research to identify new opportunities and emerging customer needs.
- Customer Support and Relationship Building:
- Collaborate with service teams to ensure smooth installation, training, and maintenance of equipment.
- Organize customer visits to reference sites and demonstrate product performance.
- Participate in client events, trade fairs, and networking opportunities to strengthen relationships.
- Collaboration and Reporting:
- Work closely with internal teams, including marketing, operations, and service departments, to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Provide regular reports on sales performance, market conditions, and customer feedback to senior management.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 10-12+ years of experience in technical sales, key account management, or business development, preferably in dairy equipment or similar industries.
- Strong understanding of dairy processes and equipment, with the ability to provide technical guidance.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to travel extensively to meet with clients and attend industry events.
- Proficiency in CRM software and MS Office Suite.
- Revenue growth and achievement of sales targets.
- Customer retention and satisfaction scores.
- Number of new accounts acquired, and existing accounts expanded.
- Timely resolution of customer issues and delivery of projects.
