Job Description

The role holder provides support to the Underwriter and ensures that the administrative processes for the policy lifecycle are run efficiently and at a high quality to serve internal and external clients. They ensure a resilient knowledge foundation by gaining advanced expertise in multiple processes and/or lines of business and assume responsibility for overall pre-blind and post-blind policy maintenance/governance.

They might be working on the end-to-end processes and/or hold a Resilient Processing Authority. This role is meant to be Resilient.

What will your essential responsibilities include

.Providing comprehensive assistance to the underwriter and guidance to the coding and Issuance Unit if such exists, throughout the policy lifecycle. Pre-underwriting, evaluating risk, and assessing the completeness of the underwriting package before the underwriter is required to review.

.Managing the workflow of multiple tasks and maintaining a detailed understanding of the status of various tasks owned by the underwriter, Brokers, Reinsurers AXA XL internal network and fronting partners, and network partners around the world.

.Proactive problem-solving to balance and manage client/broker/UW expectations and internal service standards.

.Acting as a Subject Matter Expert and a role model on the process toolshed and/or providing long-term support to the other members on top of daily duties.

.Collaborating closely with the Underwriter, Project Management, legal and Regulatory as necessary to perform pre/post-blind activities and confirm policy issuance instructions and manuscript wordings, Regulatory notices, certificates etc. to effectively intactCoding and Issuance unit if, such exists.

.Assessing when necessary and performing quality control of rating, coding, and issuance output to ensure accuracy (e.g., exposure basis, limits, coverage extensions, modifications and data entry etc.).

.Training and mentoring the new team member to support their learning, as well as for the coding & Issuance unit if, such exists.

.Conducting sessions for ESS teams to boost knowledge and enhance effectiveness across the organization.

.Preparing and maintaining documentation of existing and future processes, including detailed process maintenance when required.

.Conducting difficult existing processes, looking for improvement opportunities, and participating in process improvement projects between ESS and MO/UW.

.Actively supporting transition planning and execution.

.Looking to engage in projects and opportunities to collaborate with other individuals/teams onshore and offshore.

.Adhering to Service Level Agreements and quality targets set by Global operations in agreement with underwriting (when applicable).

.Using workflow and time-tracking tools to ensure proper work organization and reporting (When applicable).

.Supporting in different time zones to provide coverage to businesses as applicable.You will report to the Manager-Policy Management.

Required Skills and Abilities:

.Graduate in any discipline, preferably in insurance and Commerce or Financial & Accounting.

.Candidate with relevant years of experience within AXA XL or the Insurance domain.

.Very good knowledge of Insurance/Underwriting.

.Effective knowledge of policy management tools.

.Proficient in reading and comprehending Insurance industry-related correspondence and memos.

.Excellent written and oral communication skills and confidence to speak up in team meetings as well as with senior colleagues and stakeholders.

.Problem-solving attitude, great work organization skills.

.Effective analytical skills and ability to work resiliently and under my own initiative.

.Should be deadline-driven and can work under pressure.

.Ability to perform the processes with zero supervision.

.Ability to support the team manager from the technical perspective as an SME.
