Job Description
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree, or equivalent practical experience.
- 8 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, C, C++, Java, Javascript).
- 5 years of experience in a technical leadership role overseeing projects, with 5 years of experience in a people management, supervision/team leadership role.
Preferred qualifications:
- Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical field.
- 5 years of experience working in a complex, matrixed organization.

Responsibilities- Define site strategy for YouTube Developer Infrastructure organization in India. Manage and lead a cross functional team, consisting of Software Engineers, TPgMs, Test Engineers and Technical Writers
- Hire and expand the existing team, growing it up to 50 Full Time Employees (FTEs), including hiring engineering managers and defining project charters with the leads
- Work closely with partner teams in the US and Zurich, and ensuring successful delivery for projects. Partner with various YouTube teams in our mission of AI first development for YouTube
- Coach and mentor the team, especially focusing on the leads and managers on the site. The role would be expected to work closely with other YouTube lead roles in India, as well as other PAs and infra teams in Bengaluru.
