• Oversee all legal matters, including litigation and corporate legal issues.
• Manage legal proceedings and ensure the company is represented well in court
• To lead Motor Third Party Claims Portfolio - Compensation cases arising out of motor policies
• To analyze the trends and steer the team for optimum performance
• To monitor Lawyers performance and ensure they adhere to Company's ethics and performance standards
• Keep the team updated with latest legal position and interpretations of the relevant provisions / laws
• Strategize defence line and guide on appropriate evidences being led to protect the interests of the Company
• To prepare and submit various regulatory reports and comply with adhoc reports or data requirements from various authorities, auditors from time to time.

The Successful Applicant

A successful 'VP - Litigation' should have:

• A degree in law from a recognized institution.
• 10 - 15 years of experience
• Profound knowledge of the Insurance sector, particularly General Insurance.
• Strong ability to interpret laws and regulations.
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
• Experience in managing a team of legal professionals.
• Strategic thinking with a problem-solving mindset.
