Student Services Manager
Job Description
Role Overview:
We are seeking an energetic and skilled individual to serve as the Student Services Manager. In this collaborative and student-facing role, the selected candidate will support in planning, implementing, and monitoring all aspects of student experience in the MBA program.The ideal candidate will have a strategic mindset and be capable of taking initiative to combine insights from various domains in order to create the optimal student experience.
Role and Responsibilities:
Strategic Student Experience Management
Oversee and enhance all aspects of MBA student life, which includes clubs, facilitating study/field trips, non-academic support, and student life activities
In cooperation with the Academic Coordinator, evaluate all aspects of the student experience, including faculty and workshop evaluations, with a focus on continuous improvement.
In cooperation with the Director of Corporate Engagement, facilitate events and experiential programs for students.
Resolve student issues proactively, ensuring a positive and supportive environment.
Provide logistical support for international students and visitors, including assistance with visa processes and invitations, ensuring a smooth and welcoming experience.
Culture and Community Development
Lay a foundation for a healthy and sustainable MBA student culture, with the goal of improving HSB and JKLU for future groups of students
Identify and implement initiatives to engage students in HSB activities through part-time work, student committees, and other opportunities.
Coordinate with JKLU, individual JKLU academic programs, and AIC on potential student activities and collaboration
Program and Event Planning
Collaborate with the Dean and the HSB Academic Team to strategically plan and prepare activities for the HSB MBA Orientation Week.
Assist in the organization of key events, including guest lectures, workshops, and industry interactions, ensuring alignment with HSB's objectives.
Stakeholder Communication and Partnerships
Collaborate with the Director of Corporate Relations and the Dean to develop and maintain academic and industry partnerships.
Maintain and update the events calendar on website, coordinating with various departments to ensure accurate and timely information on the website.
Communicate with students and relevant stakeholders regarding opportunities, events, and updates, proactively identifying and addressing potential opportunities or issues.
Help facilitate campus visits by HSB academic or industry partners.
Procurement and Budget Management
Vendor Management: Oversee the procurement process, including vendor selection, negotiation, and contract management, to ensure cost-effective and timely acquisitions.
Purchase Orders: Create and manage purchase orders (POs) for goods and services, ensuring compliance with procurement policies and alignment with budgetary constraints.
Budget Coordination: Collaborate with JKLU on budget management, securing necessary approvals for expenditures, and ensuring financial policies are adhered to.
Eligibility:
Bachelor's degree with 1st Division in 10th and 12th.- 4 years experience in student-facing and administrative support roles in a university setting is preferred
Skill Sets
Motivated and self-driven with strong adherence to deadlines and processes - with or without external supervision
Initiative and strong leadership abilities are a must
Proactive attitude and willingness to learn
Excellent organizational skills, ability to work under pressure, and manage multiple tasks
Exceptional organizational and leadership skills; capacity to learn quickly
Ability to supervise and coordinate with others
