Fire Fighting Project Engineer
Job Description
Skills: Fire Alarm, Fire Fighting, Fire Protection, Fire wall, fire hydrant, FM200,
Once design is obtained from the Design team, plan for cabling in the site and perform routing check.
On receiving the materials and equipment required from the Stores team, carry out device fixing with the help of technicians and helpers
Once the devices are set in place, carry out commissioning of the equipment installed
After commissioning, the devices are programmed as per the requirements of the customer
To bring any material inside the premises of the factory/site, obtain material clearance from the client
Once programming is done, carry out the appropriate tests and check efficient functioning of the equipment.
On obtaining approval from the department head, prepare as-built drawings, completion certificate, handover to the client
Assist in imparting training to the client, after handing over the project.
Material Handling
Once the stock arrives from the Stores team, monitor quantity and balance on a daily, weekly basis
In case of material nearing the minimum order level, intimate the Assistant Manager/ Senior Manager in coordinating in raising Material Request
Safety & Quality Compliance
Abide by quality manuals and process placed by client/regulatory standards.
Handle and oversee handling of equipment as per process & safety protocol and standard operating procedure.
Review and track the output of all inspection tests.
Always use PPEs (Personal Protective Equipment) while at site
Adhere to work protocols (attendance, etc.) and monitor safety at site as per standards.
Follow appropriate storage procedures of materials, equipment, tools & tackles to ensure safety and maintenance.
Inform the projectmanager in case of breakdown of equipment during project execution.
Support auditory compliance procedures and adherence to the project plan regarding execution.
Prepare periodical reports (daily/weekly/ monthly progress reports) for site manager in collaboration with project coordinator.
Team Support & Self Development
Extend Support / Guidance to technicians whenever they face difficulties /shortcomings.
Follow and maintain systems and processes pertaining to project execution and suggest continual improvements.
Constantly engage in self-development, to take up higher responsibilities in the future.
