We're seeking a future team member for the role of Vice President Back Eng Engineer I to join our Buy Side Trading and Analytics engineering team. This role is located in Pune-MH, HYBRID.
In this role, you'll make an impact in the following ways:
- Implement automation, effective monitoring, and infrastructure-as-code (e.g. scripting via Bash, Python, Ruby, etc)
- Deploy and maintain CI/CD pipelines across multiple environments (e.g. Jenkins)
- Support and work alongside a cross-functional engineering team on the latest technologies
- As part of a team implement DevOps infrastructure projects
- Design and implement secure automation solutions for development, testing, and production environments
- Implement industry best practices for system hardening and configuration management
- Develop and maintain solutions for operational administration, system/data backup, disaster recovery, and security/performance monitoring
- Continuously evaluate existing systems with industry standards, and make recommendations for improvement
- Support front office traders with production related queries and issues
- Monitor and review current alerting framework for file transfers
- Design and build solutions for production support tools
- Implement workflow tools and automation to mitigate risks associated with trade execution.
- Programming well-designed, testable, secure, and efficient code.
To be successful in this role, we're seeking the following:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, statistics or related discipline OR equivalent work experience is required.
- Seven to Nine (7-9) years of experience in software development is required.
- A drive towards automating repetitive tasks (e.g. scripting via Bash, Python, Ruby, etc)
- Experience maintaining and deploying highly-available, fault-tolerant systems at scale
- Practical experience with Docker containerization and clustering (Kubernetes/ECS)
- Version control system experience (e.g. Git)
- Experience with configuration management tools (e.g. Ansible, Chef)
- Bachelor or master's degree in CS, or equivalent practical experience
- Effective communication skills
- Experience in Finance / Markets
