Digital Construction Consultant

Job Description

Role Summary

This role is to work as part of an engineering consultancy design team in India and you will be involved in exciting new projects and liaison with the WSP UK Team.

A typical week would include:

• Attending weekly meetings with the Digital Services Team to agree workload for the week and prioritisation of tasks.
• Generation of spatial co-ordination tests (Clash detection) within Navisworks at agreed milestones, rationalising and production of reports indicating the issues to be coordinated.
• Walkthrough review of federated models to highlight potential buildability, operability, and maintainability issues.
• Updating Newforma Konekt / ACC Issues system with the issues found.
• Producing coordination reports from the Newforma Konekt / ACC Issues system.
• Working with UK Digital Services team to assign issues to the appropriate organisations and persons to ensure robustly coordinated designs are delivered.
• Auditing of model information (Revit) against criteria.
• Peer review for the BIM documents and reporting.
• Preparing/Managing ACC Build checklists for ongoing construction.

• A multidisciplinary approach to design, independent of background
• 4D scheduling and planning using Synchro Pro.
• Scan (Point cloud) to BIM modelling .
• Experience of using a variety of modelling packages and their interoperation
• Ability to manage multiple simultaneous projects while maintaining a deadline focus.
• Interpersonal skills, especially to help people through the information modelling process.
• Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritise.
