Industry Process Specialist - CFD

SIMULIA has an opening for an Industry Process Specialist - CFD, a highly skilled and motivated candidate to join the Industry Process Success (IPS) team.

The ideal candidate should be able to develop solutions using the SIMULIA Fluids applications, present and demonstrate these solutions at various forums, and drive proof of concept projects. Become the trusted advisor to the WW field teams, technical teams, Industries and Sales Channels, supporting them with SIMULIA Product expertise through all phases of the sales cycle.

You should be able to leverage technical skills to get industry knowledge and hands-on work experience by working on real industry problems. The candidate should be self-driven and eager to learn in a dynamic work environment.

Role Description:

  • Build your understanding of customer's workflows and requirements
  • Modeling and setup of simulation models
  • Validating simulation results by comparison with measurement data or experiments
  • Optimizing product designs and processes using the simulation results
  • Develop Go-to-Market, prototypes and/or proof of concept implementations to validate with measured data
  • Documenting the simulation processes and results in clear and comprehensive reports
  • Engage in cross-disciplinary projects, collaborating with other teams such as design and structures
  • Collaborate with various teams across GEO's, R&D and sales teams to ensure software quality through feedback

Qualifications:

  • M.Tech/ M.E degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related field with a focus on computational fluid dynamics and heat transfer.
  • 1-3 years of experience in conducting and evaluating CFD and thermal simulations in an industrial or research environment
  • Experience in validating simulation results through comparison with measurement data or experiments
  • Knowledge of optimizing product designs and processes using CFD and thermal simulations

Required Skills:

  • Strong understanding of fluid dynamics, heat transfer, thermodynamics principles and CFD concepts
  • Working knowledge with any simulation tools like PowerFLOW Suite, ANSYS Fluent, OpenFOAM, STAR-CCM+, or any other commercial tool
  • Hands on with any preprocessing software like HyperMesh, ICEM-CFD, Ansa, etc.
  • Hands on with any CAD software such as CATIA, SOLIDWORKS, Creo, UGNX etc.
  • Understanding of programming languages such as VB, Python etc. is added advantage
  • Understanding of supervised and unsupervised learning is added advantage
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a diverse team environment
  • Ability to adapt to changing technologies and learn new skills quickly
