Assistant Manager Corporate Communications
Job Description
Purpose:
The role - holder is responsible for planning and implementing the internal communications plan of the Company in line with the Group's internal communications strategy. He/ She also has the responsibility of conceptualising and organising events/ exhibitions to enhance brand awareness and visibility.He/ She will also assist in designing and implementing the Corporate Social Responsibility framework in the Company as well as support in executing the Public Relations Strategy of the Company.
Context:
The role - holder will work closely with the Marketing team and the Manager - Corporate Communications to develop, implement and regularly evaluate the internal communications plan for the business in line with the overall corporate communications strategy of Aviva
Main Priorities:
Assist in creating and implementing an effective and responsive internal communication plan consistent with business needs
Develop the design and content of the corporate web - site and Company newsletter as well as updating the same on an ongoing basis
Ensure communication of the Company's achievements/ successes through contributions to the Company Intranet
Provide marketing support by planning events and exhibitions in line with the business requirements of the Company and the sales teams
Assist in the design and implementation of the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives to facilitate in positioning the Company as a responsible corporate citizen
Key Outputs:
- Innovative and sustained internal communications plan- Content Writing and ensuring compliance to Brand Guidelines
- Regular internal employee newsletter providing a snapshot of key developments in the Company
- Innovative events and exhibitions to increase brand awareness and employee engagement
- Availability of updated and relevant information on the corporate web site and Intranet
- Promotion of any new products (as and when launched)
Qualifications:
Graduate in English/ Commerce preferred or a course in media planning and communications from a reputed university. Position opened to other Graduates with good communication skills as well.
Skills/ Knowledge:
Strong written communication and editing skills
Ability to network and influence people from different backgrounds
Experience:
- 0-3 years proven experience in a communications role in a reputed company preferred (Financial services preferred)
- Operational experience in organizing events as well as managing agencies and external suppliers
