How You’ll Contribute:
Kaufman Rossin is seeking a Tax Senior with Private Equity industry experience to join our dynamic team in India. This important role includes technical tax compliance and consulting work.- 3.5+ years of experience working on 1065 Partnership returns in the financial services sector specifically.
- Proficiency in partnership allocations as well as understanding waterfall-styled distributions.
- A practical understanding of international tax concepts such as PFICs, CFCs, and foreign information reporting (Form 926, Form 8865, Form 8621, Form 5471, 1042, 1042-S, and 8804,8805).
- Understanding core Partnership concepts such as UBTI, and ECI Footnotes and an understanding of state tax returns, prior experience working on macro-enabled suites as well as having a superior understanding of Excel in general.
- Extensive experience in preparing and reviewing 1065 returns, k1s as well as k2&k3.
- In-depth knowledge of Go Systems tax, and CCH software.
- Experience in delivering technical and soft skills training to junior team members via in-person classroom training as well mentoring the staff whenever needed.
- Positive attitude and willingness to be a team player by contributing effectively through self-development as well as being responsible for coaching, guiding and teaching the staff/interns.
- Ability to communicate effectively with US reviewers through email and ability to explain (with clarity) issues arising during work well ahead of time.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision as well as being ready to work extended hours during peak busy season time.
What Skills You'll Bring:
- 3.5 years of recent experience with Private Equity partnership clients
- B.Com or Equivalent
- CPA eligibility Desired
- Public accounting experience required
- Strong team player and a commitment to high-quality, detailed work
- Strong computer skills
