What you’ll achieve
As a Test Automation - Central of Excellence, you will be establishing and managing the Automation Testing Centre of Excellence within the organization. This role involves driving the automation strategy, implementing best practices, and overseeing the execution of automation testing across multiple projects.You will play a critical role in enhancing the quality and efficiency of software delivery through automation.
You will:
- Define the vision, strategy, and roadmap for the Automation COE.
- Develop and implement an automation framework that aligns with the organization's testing and quality assurance goals.
- Identify opportunities for automation within testing processes and across various projects.
- Select and implement automation tools, frameworks, and technologies (e.g., Key Word Driven (KWD), Selenium, Appium, JUnit, TestNG).
- Standardize automation practices and ensure they are integrated into the CI/CD pipeline.
- Establish and enforce best practices, standards, and guidelines for automation testing.
- Develop metrics and KPIs to measure the effectiveness of automation efforts and provide regular reports to senior management.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Work closely with development, testing, and operations teams to ensure seamless integration of automation testing.
- Implement strategies to increase test coverage and reduce manual testing efforts.
- Identify potential risks and challenges related to automation testing and develop mitigation plans.
- Ensure that automation testing is reliable, repeatable, and capable of detecting defects early in the development cycle.

Essential Requirements
Education:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
Experience:
- 18+ years of experience in software testing and quality assurance.
- 10+ years of experience in automation testing, with a focus on developing and implementing automation frameworks.
- 3+ years of experience in a leadership or management role within an automation COE or similar function.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in automation tools (e.g., Key Word Driven (KWD), Selenium, Appium, Jenkins, Cucumber) and scripting languages (e.g., Python, Java, JavaScript).
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
- Strong understanding of various testing methodologies, including Agile and DevOps.
- Soft Skills: Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
- ISTQB Advanced Level Test Automation Engineer or equivalent certification.
- Experience with cloud-based automation environments (e.g., AWS, Azure).
- Knowledge of performance testing and security testing.
- Certification in relevant technologies.
- Knowledge with serverless architecture and functions (e.g., AWS Lambda, Azure Functions).
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools such as Jenkins, Git, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Understanding of security best practices for full stack development.
- Experience with mobile development frameworks such as React Native or Flutter.
