Job Description

Job Summary:

The role requires accuracy, attention to detail, and knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and healthcare regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review and analyze patient medical records to assign appropriate ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS codes.
• Ensure coding accuracy and compliance with insurance and government regulations.
• Work closely with healthcare providers to clarify diagnoses and procedures.
• Verify that coded services align with documentation and medical necessity.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
• Keep updated with the latest coding guidelines and industry standards.
• Assist in claims submission and resolve coding-related denials.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Certification in CPC (Certified Professional Coder), CCS (Certified Coding Specialist), CCA (Certified Coding Associate), or equivalent.
• Strong understanding of ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems.
• Familiarity with medical terminology, anatomy, and healthcare documentation.
• Experience with EHR (Electronic Health Records) and medical billing software is a plus.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
