Job Description
Immediate Opening for FOUR positions of Research Fellow (RF) & ONE Postdoctoral Research Associate (Postdoc) position in a Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), Govt. of India, sponsored project, Development of indigenous medical radiation dosimeter based on organic field-effect transistors (DosFET) sponsored under the supervision of Prof.V. Ramgopal Rao (PI), Prof. Sanket Goel (co-PI) and Prof. Arindam Kushagra (co-PI).
Deserving candidates may be considered for PhD program at BITS-Pilani if he/she meets the requirements of PhD qualification process as per the institute norms (http://www.bitsadmission.com/phmain.aspx). Also, Institute Fellowship will be considered after completion of the project fellowship.
Scope of work- Develop a flexible organic field effect transistor (OFET) for ionizing radiation dosimetry
- Calibration of OFET against commercially available dosimeters, onsite & offsite
- RF: M.E./M.Tech. in Electrical/ Electronics/ Instrumentation/ Mechanical / Chemical Engineering / Materials Science or equivalent
- Postdoc: Ph.D. in Electrical/ Electronics/ Instrumentation/ Mechanical / Chemical Engineering / Materials Science or equivalent
- Working / Hands-on knowledge in cleanroom practices, semiconductor fabrication techniques.
- Knowledge of semiconductor device physics & ionizing radiation physics (with related equipment handling) would be a plus.
Emoluments (as per DST norms):
- RF: 37,000 per month (+27% HRA, if applicable)
- RA / Postdoc: 58,000/61,000/67,000 per month (+27% HRA, if applicable)
Duration: 36 months (will be considered for financial support during the remaining PhD duration as per the policy, if selected for the BITS-Pilani PhD programme)
